After the success of our SLAM 1 video, which encouraged KCA Deutag employees to stop, look, assess, and manage their environments, our client wanted a sequel.

SLAM 2 was a short video that included 2D and 3D animation, and real-world video footage, to look at the impact behaviour can have on incidents taking place.

With 80 percent of incidents attributed to human behaviour, thinking more about how we behave and why (things have always been done a certain way, time pressure, etc.) can make a big difference. The video included animated sequences that looked at some of the biggest incidents in recent history – the sinking of the Titanic, the Deepwater Horizon explosion, and the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster – and how they were caused by errors in human behaviour.

KCA Deutag employees can now find this video on their learning management system. It’s available in English, Arabic, Norwegian, German, and Mexican Spanish to meet the needs of the business’s global workforce. There are discussion points throughout the film too, making it suitable for classroom teaching as well as independent learning.
